Anne Hartmann’s 4th Birthday

Anne Hartmann Lewis had her 4th Birthday at Sweet and Sassy.

A.H. started by picking out her Princess outfit, then her hair was done by the Professionals, next her nails were painted, and then it was on to her studies of how a proper Princess behaves.  She and her friends learned to wave, curtsey, and smile like a Princess.  Once they completed these tasks…. they recieved a certificate that they were Princesses for life… and they recieved wands… so they were actually magic Princesses… and they got to eat a Princess cake… that A.H. designed… I don’t have a picture, but you can use your imagination.

All-in-all… it was a great birthday!!!!

The girls were disrupting West Jr.’s game of playing with Fire Trucks on the stage.

Good thing we had our Safety Ranger (a.k.a West Jr.) watching out for us.

The Young Shepherd

The Old Shepherd

Daphnis, I that piped so rarely,
I that guarded well the fold,
‘Tis my trembling hand that fails me;
I am weary, I am old.
Here my well-worn crook I offer
unto Pan the shepherd’s friend;
Know ye, I am old and weary;
of my toil I make an end!
Yet I still can pipe it rarely,
still my voice is clear and strong;
Very tremulous in body,
nothing tremulous in song.
Only let no envious goatherd
tell the wolves upon the hill
That my ancient strength is wasted,
lest they do me grievous ill.

Where the Wild Things Birthday Party

Shattuck woke up for a long weekend…

He was going to his friends Sims and Patrick Burke’s birthday party….

Shattuck met his friend Anne Hartmann Lewis who was dressed as a pink unicorn… of course there is no evidence that there ever exhisted pink unicorns… but she insists they exist… you argue with her.

Grace Bricken was sliding when we arrived…

The birthday boy put on his new balloon hat…

The birthday girl put her balloon hat on as well…

Anne Hartmann was waiting in line for her balloon hat…

Anne Hartmann and Grace Bricken discuss which balloon hat they want while in line…

Anne Hartmann seems to be pleased with the Mr. Balloon Guy’s work.  Her moto is… ‘You can never have enough flair.’

Princess Grace presented her balloon hat to the rest of the party…

The father’s stayed outside and watched the circus until the Auburn vs. Arkansas game started… Auburn fans should have just stayed outside…

Shattuck had a fun time watching the other kids slide down the balloon jump slide…

I think this is the mouse that ate through the Pace’s cable last night causing the tv to go out during the bottom of the ninth inning of the baseball game.

Missy, George, and Elinore enjoyed the party… George didn’t know it was a costume party… he already was wearing his Astronaut uniform…

Now it was time for Cupcakes!

Young West Jr. was having a great time…

Wilson B. Pace (aka Ratatouille)… enjoyed his pumpkin colored cupcake…

Anne Hartmann wanted to sit next to the Astronaut…

Shattuck watched with excitement…

Have you ever tried to heard cats?  Try getting a group photo out of 6months to 4 year olds…

After dinner we enjoyed a quiet afternoon watching the Ole Miss Rebels vs. Alabama… and then cooked a few hot wings and steaks on the Green Egg.

CrocStock

Shattuck attended ‘Crocstock’ over at Graham and Suzanne Reese’s home.

Shattuck had some orange Crocs.

The Reese’s have a play room separate from their house.  It’s awesome. I told Lale I want to build a room in our back yard that just has couches, a large television, a bathroom, and a wet bar.  The ultimate Saturday afternoon football room.
